Componentry is all new Shimano Sora that was transferred from a new donor bike, I transferred my amradillo tyres to it (cos Kenda Koncepts are crap apparently. and its got JALCO DRX4000 rims. Havent ridden it yet but its lighter than my old blade which will now be relegated to dedicated commuter status so I suspect its faster also. While I know the componentry isnt by any means top shelf its better than what I have ever had before and will most likely be whats upgraded first.

:) Cool colour - perhaps that is why I painted this Orange too.

I recently got gifted a fairly old school (old enough to have shifters on the downtube) Diamondback Expert TG. I'll get it up 'n' running in the next few weeks. 'Tis bright orange, and has Ritchey track bars for some unknown reason. Anyone know roughly how old it might be?

I was going to bring this thread back to the top - but it was already here. Finally got sufficiently go fast wheels to justify posting it. Shimano DA 30mm carbon tubs with Conti Podiums. No blaming the bike now. Oh it's an '06 Trek 5200 OCLV w/ EC90SL fork and Ultegra - in size XL!

:) Nice bike. All you need now is a Discovery Kit and to remove one 'nad and you'll be a climbing god.

The tubs got me 3rd place in a bunch sprint (!!!) :o today on a dead flat course. Not bad for a climber. Definitely worth the money!
