This is my newest project.
This bike was ridden by John McGee father of Andrew,Craig,Rod and Bradley McGee.
Circa 1975ish No one can remember when it was built.
Jim Bundy handmade frame out of columbus tubing
Full Duraace
Mavic hoops
Cinelli quill stem and bars
It will take a bit of work but its such a piece of NSW cycling culture.
It will end up being a show piece for the McGee's shop in Bowral although I might ride it on occasion too
Sorry about the quality of photos they are off my cell phone. The battery was flat on my cameras

Jim Bundy is a bit of a legend with his frames in NSW for a long time.

Its been sitting in John and Carols garage in Blacktown for all that time.
Jim Bundy used to build all the NSW state squads track frames back in the day. If you made the state team you had a hand built track frame made for you for nationals. Almost every NSW rider of the 70's and 80's has ridden a Jim Bundy frame of some sorts.
Oli it is cool, Jim was an institution in NSW, I'm sure NZ has a frame builder from back in the day that is like that.

I just mean that I can barely see it - I'm not disputing it's quality for a second. :D

Not a new bike (2004) but the wheels are pretty new and I used them for the first time in the mountains during the Dolomieten marathon.. Great wheels and very stiff!
Just got back from 4 weeks holiday in SA so my first race yesterday was a disaster :)

Nice.

Be sure to remove all warning stickers and reflectors asap. I can see a yellow one on the post...

Just bear in mind that it's not all about endurance, get some bunch riding in and some speed work in the last few weeks. The key to a good time is being able to stick with the bunches on the flat after Kuratau hill.
