Any ideas where i can get some alloy from?

Mico Wakefield... in Onehunga.

I know, painful to get to if you work in the city, but they have a whole warehouse to sell offcuts from their metal supply. You just name the thickness* and the approximate size you want* and they find the nearest fit*. $10 a kg for Aluminium.

Give them a phone call and see what they have, they don't mind cash sales.

Lets just say Sam learned a little lesson about tailgating on the way to Hokitika, and that Rennie is the man at fixing shit.

And remember kids, always securely tie down a dodgy damaged bonnet... :paranoid:

Your thoughts?

Suck it up and pay. ;)

Or ask for a "beer" price if you know anyone who works there.

So you think that without hookups $150 is not a bad price? I have been promised my car will be getting finished so I wouldn't mind getting the cold air box done

I had to get some stainless parts laser cut about a month ago and (will) pay more than that for less metal.
Basically the sheetmetal workers were so busy they're putting high prices on little jobs because they're not worth the hassle.

Hmm fair enough. I might just get a mate make up a heat shield sorta thing at least offset the effect of the now missing battery. Gotta make a cold air duct from the bumper too.
