How much are you willing to spend? And I wouldn't touch Midas with a 40 foot barge pole but thats just me.

Bout a grand, and it was just an example of a generic suspension place, but good to know.

Aim is good ride quality, with decent handling, not fussed about lowering it, but def not any higher..

Unless you want to go spending bazillions of dollars on a Koni/Neuspeed setup I'd suggest going a set of KYB Excel G shocks and some nice springs like Lovells or Dobi's. But if you're after a full coilover you can pick up a set of Daiyamas from Mac at www.41.co.nz for as little as $1100. Although you would need to get a certification for this.

somehow I think most coilovers are out of teh question :)

Not necessarily. With the right spring rates a full coilover setup can provide amazing ride quality. Most Daiyamas come with a 12/10kg spring rate combo but I'd recommend 8/6kg.

it's not just the spring rate though unfortunately...

damper setup and stroke play a huge part too.

I dont think I need to muck around with springs at this stage, might look into the KYB's as a replacement, know any good shops to deal with in Auckland by chance?

This is true. Although I think you'll find that companies like Daiyama, BC, D2 and Omni have done their homework. The EG Civic is spoilt with choice for coilovers as they share the same setup as the DC integra.

you could try BNT/Autolign. We use them alot, and their prices are decent enough.

Why thank you Matt. I'm relatively happy with how it is turning out. Next thing is some new wheels.

Hey Hey I didn't choose those. New wheels will have T1R's or GSD3's.
