The vorb fantasy racing MTB Worldcup Downhill competition is back for another year. The UCI does not publish the entry lists more than a few days before race day, so, this year, all the top ranked riders are available for selection. This means, as virtual team manager, you are responsible for picking riders who will actually be participating in each event. Let us know if a rider you want on your team is not listed
April 27-28, Maribor, Slovenia
June 1-2, Fort William, Scotland
June 8-9, Leogand, Austria
July 6-7, Vallnord, Andorra
July 13-14, Les Gets, France
August 3-4, Val di Sole, Italy
August 10-11, Lenzerheide, Switzerland
September 7-8, Snowshoe, USA
this year the bonus world championship round occurs a week before the last world cup
28 August - 01 September 2019 | Mont-Saint-Anne, Canada
Same rules for this year:
1) You will be prevented from choosing a rider lineup that is the same as another players team (So, get your picks in early to avoid disappointment)
2) DOUBLE points for the world championship BONUS round!
Team selection:
Click the "Pick your riders" button above and select the members of your vorb fantasy race team. Next to each riders name you will see the riders ranking (according to the UCI). As you select riders you will see your total team size and strength updated at the bottom. Your team must have 6 riders (5 men and 1 woman) with a combined strength ranking of 6000 points or less. We will not be closing the rider selection so you can (and probably should) change your team lineup for each of the races. Although, we do request that you do not change your selection after a race has started and before the scores are recorded. Players caught doing so may be penalised.
Before the race starts, a randomly generated team will be entered so players can gauge their skills as a team manager against those of a drunken chimpanzee throwing darts at a printout of the startlist.
Scoring:
Points are awarded separately for the finish of the Men's and Women's classes in each of the 8 races, 25 points are awarded to the first finisher in the Men's class down to 1 point for 25th place and 25 points are awarded to the first finisher in the Women's class down to 1 point for 25th place.
10 Bonus points each will also be handed to teams containing the fastest qualifying time in both the mens and womens classes.
Double points for the final, World Championships round e.g 20 points for best qualifier, 50 points for the win and 2 points for 25th place
