Crc/wiggle No Longer Shipping Shimano To Nz

I apologise if this has already been a topic on here - i did search.

Just logged in to CRC and Shimano products are no longer listed. I used their chat/help and was told that it's true, whatever agreement CRC and Wiggle had with Shimano has changed and they no longer ship to New Zealand.

Any ideas on the cheapest online shops for Shimano? I was contemplating going to XTR 12 speed but that's looking unlikely now..

VPN might get them to show up, but imagine you’d get booted when it gets to the shipping address?

its done on the country where you select your currency

looking at cassettes in Australia I can see 11 speed but not 12 speed, with GB selected you can see 12, can't see any in usa

Whenever i think something is cheaper at bike-discount or bike24 etc i find that the shipping charge combined with the 2-3 weeks it takes for items to arrive completely wipes out any benefit of cheaper prices. That's why if i'm buying online i go CRC or wiggle (normally arrives within 7 days for me), which is why i'm a bit gutted about this change.

This is the response i got when querying the help chat person:

"I am very sorry to say that Shimano has changed the way it distributes products for all retailers, particularly outside of Europe. Because of this change Shimano will not be available on the Chain Reaction Cycles website outside of Europe. We understand this may be disappointing for some of our customers outside of Europe; however, together with our friends at Shimano, we are working extremely hard to ensure we are able to offer the Shimano brand again in the future."

I'm a Shimano fanboi, where do I get my cheap fix?

Free shipping has always been a big part of the attraction though

Strangely, Shimano stuff is back on CRC and Wiggle but no 12 speed XTR.

Yes Shimano is now geo-blocking.

I think we'll see more of this in the future.

CRC is now shipping shimano to nz but charging a lot more. For example xt rear derailleur is 60GBP for uk delivery or 80GBP for NZ. Looks like minimum pricing based on shipping location.
