Cable Hanger Bolt Specialized Tricross 2010

Postby ArthurGW on Thu 1st Mar 5:41pm

Hi people,
I've got a new old Specialized Tricross Sport 2010, and it's missing the bolt that attaches the brake cable hanger to the fork crown. Apparently these are all the same size, except no shop has one that fits, so it must have been different back in the day. If anyone has an old one of these bikes lying around or some spare parts from switching to v-brakes then please get in touch!
Cheers,
Arthur

Surely it must be some kind of metric bolt - an engineering fastener supplier should be able to help?

I wish! Tried Black's fasteners in Chch and they don't have what I need. Wasn't clear in my original post, the problem is actually with the recessed nut rather than the bolt - it's 1-2mm too wide for the hole, which means the whole nut and bolt combo needs to be smaller, but the type of recessed nut is very specific so they don't have it...
