Need Some Advice From The Pro's

Looking at buying my first proper roadbike, I'll mainly use it to bike to work however I would like to go for some nice rides in the weekend on it and wish to own this bike for about 5 years before I need to upgrade. Based on my budget I've narrowed it down to two bikes, the 2016 Merida Ride 100 and the 2016 Silverback Strela Sport. The specs for the Merida are:

With that kind of budget you'd be better looking for something on Trade Me. Your money will go far further.

Sizing will be important but something like this for $500 Buy Now is a far better deal as a 2014 bike. It has a higher level spec.
