what sort of internal cartridge BB are we talking about?
most of the cheap square taper ones (VP/RPM/neco and most OEM cartridge deals, you can get new bearings like these it'll just depend on the ID/OD and width of the bearing as to whether they're available...

if you're talking about a shimano square taper/octalink, no. only the XTR/Dura-Ace needle BB's are rebuildable

I have two BBs on the way out one one isis (Truvativ I think, maybe VP) the other a Shimano square taper, definitely not XTR level

The isis bb I had was rebuildable. Some decent tools were needed to get to the old bearings off and to successfully press the new ones onto the spindle though.
