Hope Evo2 Pro Steel Freehub Body

Postby ChumlyPogward on Mon 8/Feb/16 7:41pm

Yo all, I am replacing the cassette on my fatty, and it has Hope Fatsno hubs (based on the Evo2 Pro) that came with an alloy freehub body. As expected the largeness of Chumly has muntered the freehub somewhat as I cant get the cassette off. I was intending to swap out the freehub body for a steel one but I am having trouble finding one on wiggle/chain reaction.... any advice?

Preferably one of you sly dogs has one lying around that you can swap for sexual favours etc...

Actually a bit of wriggling and it came off, its grooved but not too badly. Surprisingly my hacked on 42T had not worn it at all, I was expecting the mighty torque to have slogged it out.

I am going to re use it with a new cassette (and a new 30T chainring) which means i can find the freehub body at my leisure.

Yes the internet told me two chain whips, I improvised with a vise and 1 chain whip.

Many sexy parts have been ordered, including an actual cassette range extender to replace the lulz one i made.

Was it a chainring bolted to an old sprocket?
