Netflix Vs. Neon Vs. Lightbox

Postby Scotty on Wed 17/Jun/15 7:30am

I'm on Netflix, I like it.

Except for it's inconsistent offerings. For example it has Clerks 2, but that's it, none of the other Kevin Smith awesomeness like Dogma and the original Clerks. Then there's random seasons and one-offs of certain programmes that tempt you to go looking for more and when you go looking, they're not there.

Lightbox has Breaking Bad and (I think) a better range of older series. Neon has Game of Thrones, Walking Dead and a bunch of good HBO and BBC content.

I was wondering how the other services are going for peeps?

We've tried Netflix and Sky.

We keep on reverting to the other option.

Are you on the NZ Netflix, or the US Netflix? Also, aside from paying how do these differ from one of the 'free' streamers, like CouchTuner?

How do you netflix?

If you are doing it on computer, there is a plugin for chrome (and presumably other browsers) called Hola. It lets you surf US or UK netflix, or any other site (ie Channel 4 on Demand or BBC iplayer). US/Canada netflix has all of breaking bad, and I think more Kevin Smith movies...

Nothing ticks all the right boxes of show range + quality (SD wtf?) so its other + blurays end of season for me.

I dont think the proxy thing to access us based overseas versions is a whole lot more "correct" than the other method
