Be prepared to meet traffic coming in the opposite direction.

The club are parking at Club 162, riding up Wahine and heading north unitl it is time to drop out of the hills (lots of options for this) and return to Cafe 162 for afters.

Be sociable and stop in for refreshments?

Yeah. Why not. Is there somewhere good to lock a bike up whilst in the bar? Should I carry a lock, for that matter?

Lots of posts and street furniture to lock up to.

A lock would be a good idea.

I have yet to decide if I am riding
* North to South
* South to North
* taking the car
* riding from home
* or even if I should ride given that Karapoti is Saturday

and my legs seem to take longer to recover than the younger legs I used to have :(

But then again if the bike is built it should be tested. :cool:

I saw it half built today :love:

My hope is that we can be close to johnstons hill at about 8 or 8:30. It'll depend - I've never actually followed the track properly, and I understand that there is a rather steep 2-300 metres after the power pylons above chartwell.

I guess there is a reasonable chance that we may bump into the HVMBC.

Mmmm...half built bikes. Was it beautiful?

I thought I was relaxed about choosing between the Stumpy and the Scott for Saturday.

Kewl. Well I should be leaving work about 5:30, and everything going well (I'm assuming that there is still a bridleway up into khandallah etc), I'll see everyone up at khandallah park at 6:30...
