Blatant Self-interest - Supporting The Young 'un

Postby EoinC on Fri 3/Apr/15 11:16pm

Hi,
I understand that this is blatant self-interest and, for most of you, tantamount to feeding the enemy but...

Our daughter (Tahlay Christie) has been selected to represent Oz in the Sprint events at the 2015 Junior World Track Cycling Champ's in Astana, Kazakhstan. She has to raise some spondooli's to get there, and has started some fundraising.

For those of you not totally averse to Aussie's (she does have a Kiwi connection), or maybe feel sorry for them, here is how you can help...

If sheckels and lira are not available, well-wishes are also appreciated.

Great stuff Eion, you must be very proud, and rightly so. Those 2 photos are very cool.

Happy to help out a little, even considering my usual aversion to seeing Australians winning. ;)

She's obviously worked really hard and I've enjoyed your photos over the last few years.

Thank you very much, Farm and Scatter. She'd obviously be a Kiwi if she could.... She does have lots of Kiwi mates, if that counts (I'm trying to reduce the consequences of your treason).

Tahlay's worked very hard at this, but is fortunate to have excellent people around her, helping her to achieve her potential both as a cyclist and as a human bean.

Chur, and thanks again.

Excellent. Any chance of coming across to the Adelaide GP series, Scatter? A lot of the Kiwi's will be coming across.

It's an excellent series, Scatter, and well-populated with quality competition. Aside from those selected by BikeNZ etc, there is good support for those who attend of their own volition.

I hope you decide to make the trip.
