Has anyone had Strava run stop on them when having a stop on a run?? Mine did last weekend on my long run for the week when I stopped for a few minutes to talk to a friend who was playing with his child. Now means I will have to do the same route again tomorrow to check the distance etc.
Strava cycle kept recording when I went for a club ride last night, which included 2 hours stopped for a meal & beer afterwards & then rode home (that was the hard part).

Hey Splosher,

Nope, but I use either my Garmin 405 (biking) or my Garmin 210 (running) and not an app to record. See if there is a setting for Autostop or Autolap etc, and turn it off?

Today was a run with a new running buddy, one of the mums from CJ's ballet. She kept me honest for the whole run. Was great.

I did the second Xterra and the night run at Makara. Both awesome events.
Last Saturday morning I also did the Wainuiomata Classic. This starts at the bottom of Spoonhill in the Wainui MTB Park, and then runs along the ECNZ firebreak, before heading up the steep climb (dubbed "The Hill from Hell") to the top of the Te Whiti firebreak. Then it's back down to the bottom of Spoonhill.

For Geriatric Grandads like me, that's about 9 KM, if you are under 50 its 10.5 KM I think.
The course varies slightly from year to year, I think last time I did this it was a 12 KM course and we came down Snails to Wetland Loop.

This event is run by the Wainuiomata Harriers Club, and while they do a great job of organising the event, it's a shame it doesn't get more publicity as it was a magnificent day, and its a really good challenging run.

So after all this running shizness, I have gone through quite a body change. Thought I should maybe place a before/after type comparison.

I have a wee ways to go, I want to get under 80 for the Queenstown Marathon, but yeah. Pretty happy.

Found the auto stop tucked away under the profile setting. Went over the same run I did last weekend in training for this coming weekends Hawkes Bay Trail running series in Eskdale - last months run had 800m of elevation gain. Looking at the weather forcast, mud on the tracks could be an issue on some of the MTB older tracks, - some of the newer tracks have good drainage & are professionally built & offer a good surface.
