Breaking with the rules of this thread, I did a little bike race today. Masochistically, I did this on my single speed, And I got 2nd in class! Woop woop!!!

Ps, ALL pies are sports pies! Loaded with beef and sports kidney, or beef and sports mushroom!

nice! first time under the magical 1h30 for the 1/2M?

my effort today - same dist, hell of a lot slower (and just a tiny bit hillier ;) )

yup, finally cracked it, odd considering I wasn't really targeting this race. I got a free entry through the athletics club so it became a "what the heck" race.

I like your definition of a "tiny bit" a 10 - 1 ratio seems to fit :p

Well done SC. Top effort.

My best half is 1.31 and my second best is 1.41. Difference being 5 years and 11 kg!! Bit of a correlation.....

Currently on the Gold Coast, and planned to do a few trots, but cut down with a calf injury that came up from nowhere about 5 Kms from base camp. So been out walking last few days.

Must say, the scenery is a different class that around Dunners (except sometimes around uni). NOT that I am looking! :music: :paranoid: :p

40ish minutes/ 8.6km done tonight with a wee 2.5km burner in the middle, made a goal to get into the running shoes at least 4x a week. (There, i've written it down now so it needs to happen)

If anybody in chch wants to sporadically (see- shift work and multiple houses) run with me around cashmere area i'm all ears! the run above works out to roughly 5 min kms, so flick me a message if you or anyone you know wants a running buddy!
