Wide Rims

Postby swtchbckr on Thu 28/Mar/13 3:49pm

Other than Velocity P35's, can anybody recommend me another 26inch rim that has around a 29mm inner bead width and weighs, preferably, under 600g?

The Mavics 729s are a bit over, around 675g, (my front wheel) and it's a navigational nightmare wading through rim specs on the web, when half the time weights or inner bead widths are missing, or promising looking leads end up being 22.5mm inner bead widths, etc etc etc...

Also. 32 average spokes weigh in around 150-170g or so, correct?

Am not sure I would consider Flow EX rims, have experienced issues with tyres blowing off them over a range of different pressure's in both tubeless & tubed situations. Quite a few comments on MTBR re same thing

Spank Spike EVO 35al, 29.5 internal, pretty much dead on 600g.
Spank Subrosa, 24.5 internal, 520g.
I'm running some Subrosa's on my Tanktion, and they make a 2.4 Highroller2 and Ardent have a nice square profile, if thats what you're after.
