Serious question, can anyone provide info on the kids race, like what is the distance, and is it on the same 9km track as the main race? Will a BMX bike do or would it be better on a geared bike?

Thanks

All bikes are welcome and BMXs will be fine. The kids loop will be relatively short (not 9km!) and is most likely to be a multi-lap race around the area beside Pukete Road (known as the Pin Oaks) and up into part of the park. They will be all done in half an hour or less, so your BMXers will be perfectly suited to the sprint format. ;)

Kids will be separated into 3 age classes to help spread them out and even up the competition. Under 5's catered for too, so even strider/runner/balance bikes can join in.

See you there!

Sweet as... no one will even notice. You could do it on your BMX bike, but I reckon Dented's kids will kick your arse! :p

Hohoho, you lot are funny.
Just looking for something fun and bike related for them as a wind-down after Nationals at Easter. Plus would be nice to catch up with Mel and her clan (its been far too long). Not to mention the entry fee is very attractive!

The track is in great condition after todays rain. Most of the sketchy soft bits have firmed up nicely and the new bit has packed in very well. Gonna be in great nick if we have a little more between now and the event.

It's the PayPal credit card fee. If you pay with internet banking, you avoid the extra $3.00.

Here's the link for internet banking: http://webscorer.com/register?raceid=6919

And the one for PayPal/credit card: http://webscorer.com/register?raceid=6806
