Looks very practical / sensible. Out of interest what racks / bags have you gone for?

I am deeply in love with this, I have been commuting all week on it and it makes all my other bikes feel floppy and uncomfortable now :(

Just need to sort some tan leather bar tape, some black pedals, pick up the panniers and rack I have sorted out, and NZ here I come....

Some good stopping power there

I want to build something similar with a soma double cross, flat bar road stuff though rather than drops. Was gonna make one up for the gf as she wanted a commuter bike and I could live vicariously through her, but she bought a new road bike instead :( / :)

I can't remember the rack name, but the bags are the phillips waterproofs. I have been using one for the last few months commuting over winter and it seems ok.

I have been known to play in my younger years ;)
The brakes are pretty sexy actually, kindof makes it stand out a bit. Front is a bit squeaky, but hopefully it will bed in ok.

Jelly. Highly considering doing the same thing to my Heckler, small frames with that aggressive geometry are so much fun.

DOIT. I still haven't ridden it UP many hills mainly cos I got it to become more comfortable with jumping without constantly casing my rear wheel on doubles..... Got heaps of air in the shock so it's not too different in terms of ride character to the steel hardtail. Super poppy and short so I can flick it around pretty good too..... STOKED AS.

I'm not a racer anyway so I usually ride uphills in a way that I can conserve energy for the downhills...

New to me for this year. Only had a quick lap up and down the river bank so far, looking forward to some long rides in the coming weeks. If I can make a man out of myself I might have a crack at riding it as a single speed.

Here's mine.

Just picked up a Transition Klunker yesterday. Have been out of the mountain bike game for so long, so i've lost track of what technology you can buy, so i've bought the Klunker to start riding with bare basics. Might generate a bit of hate cos it's not a 'true klunker' built from old crap parts, but it's damn nice to ride, i got a good price on it, and it looks good. Purists be gone.
The bike next to the clunker is one of the pair of german folding bikes i have. Branded as 'drei stern', they are quite funky wee machines. One is particularly more complete than the other with full mudguards and working dynamo lights (just gotta wire the rear one up properly) with all wires routed through the frame. Pictured is the far more tidy/complete one.

This is my flatmates retro resto of a Pantha 24. just waiting on tyres, and currently trying to hunt out some 1/2" spindle threads that aren't crappy kiddies ones.
