Srm Vs. Quarq

Postby steak and cheese on Fri 31/Aug/12 5:53pm

I'm considering buying a new powermeter for road and track training purposes. I intend to use my edge 500 as the head unit.

The two powermeters I'm considering are the SRM SRAM Red @ $3,406 incl GST, and the Quarq SRAM S975 @ $2,380 incl GST

The Quarq seems like it is pretty good value. Are there any meaningful differences between the two units? Have the bugs in the early Quarq systems been ironed out?

Would appreciate any advice, experiences, or thoughts etc.
