Location: Pukete Park MTB Track Maui St

Dates: Starting the 4th April, 18th April, 2nd May, 23th May, 6th June, 20th June, 4th July and 18th July

Details: Registration from 7pm, race starts 7.15pm
$3 HMTBC members and $5 non members.

Because we all need some reason to get out and ride.

30 Riders showed up last night for racing and riding. The weather was good, but slightly cold in the wind.

What a great way to race, thinking you know the track when racing in the daylight when it all is different at night. Need more numbers out there and I'm sure people have spare lights sets to lend to get them out there. Great when you are on an ajacent tract and all you see are lights ahead. They turn off and you carry on. Some riders need to ride the track during the day so as to get familiar with it, can get a little confusing in the leaf sections. Sure is a good way to get warmed up. Results??? This weekend saw the open day for the Hauraki rail trail which can be ridden from either TeAroha, Paeroa, waikino or from Thames which has a little more work on that one. We rode from TeAroha to Waikino for the open, then did 14kms with everyone, lunch and then returned vier Paeroa to TeAroha. All flat and gravel but a good spin out. Big gear on S/S. Thursdays after work we have a group ride from TeAroha to Paeroa and further, lights ride,all welcome, contact www.outdooradventure.co.nz. Mc's for an icecream if preferredand return.

Another rainless night the track, but rain earlier in the week made the track wet and slippey in places to keep the 19 riders on their toes/cleats. Plus I was early for once and the laptop worked :thumbsup:

Our first CX rider rode and flatted in the same place as last years "Guy on a cyclo-cross bike" :lol:
