Election 2011

Postby great uncle bulgaria on Sat 29/Oct/11 10:13pm

the big questions:

Will ACT lose Epsom?

Will the Greens take votes from Labour?

Is Phil Goff medically sedated?

Is John Key a Hologram?

Does anyone care now that we have the RWC?

why is no-one talking about it?

Maybe Phill Goff has been groomed by the PR experts to behave like that. Reminds me a bit of Jenny Shipley's weird "calm" voice.

I'm soon to give up really caring...

Seems that no matter how daft John Key is, no matter how personality-cultish it gets (every single National billboard has his stupid mug on it, alongside the local candidates, and they ALL call it "John Key's National Party")... And no matter he gets caught outright lying in Parliament over some fairly serious shit... Everyone still wants to vote for him. People are going to get the Government they derserve. I suppose that's democracy.

JK probably can't be bothered doing three terms so the gloves come off the day after the election.

If you are looking for a politician that hasn't told a lie, then you will be looking for a very long time, it is more a case of which are the worse

there is a difference between telling a lie to get elected (which they all do) and telling a lie in parliament.

I think they three way hand shake is probably going to be JKs downfall

and as for the cult of personality, most NZers would vote for Richie MaCaw, even if he had a policy of genocide

I don't give a rats about rugby, but I'd still vote for McCaw over Key or Goff. Even with his pro-genocide agenda. At least he knows how to shake fucking hands.

Which will be different to the last 10 year in what way? :eh:

...Stolen dead baby identity, nicking $80,000 off illiterate kids to pay for a tummy tuck, lying about criminal convictions, being a "perk buster" who takes his girlfriend on an expensive European holiday courtesy of the taxpayer.......
