Bikes Stolen: Wellington

Postby Lynskey on Sat 8/Oct/11 1:12am

Hey all,

Had 2 bikes stolen this evening from outside Pak n' Save Kilbirnie. Got an alright shot of them on CCTV so a good prospect but want to get the ear to the ground as soon as possible. Offering up $150 reward per bike for information leading to recovery. They were clearly mates so that could be an easy $300 for someone with the right information. See below:

1) Haro Mary SS 29er size 16". Gold(ish) colour. Rigid fork, same colour as frame. Bright yellow lock on grips with 'superstar' on them. White Tektro Auriga Comp brakes. Truvativ Stylo cranks. WTB rims. Brand new gloss black DMR V8 pedals. Kenda Nevegal tyres front and back. WTB saddle. Raceface stem. Wideish bars.

2) Kermit green SS 29er, approx size 20" - has been welded near the drive side dropout and has had a big flat gusset welded in the same area before powdercoating. RST M29 forks (black, unstickered). Very distinctive colour. Distincive Revolution Bicycles mushroom sticker on headtube. Shimano Deore brakes. WTB rims again (I think). Definitely a DMR revolver front hub. Maxxis Ardent 2.4 front tyre, Kenda Nevegal rear. This one has no stickers/brand names. Thompson 27.2 black layback post with a SDG Bel Air saddle. Shimano clipless pedals. I think Truvativ octalink cranks. Truvativ bars.

Any help much appreciated. Contact Tom on 027-346-5204

:)

Cheers guys.

I've got a good spread of info out there now so here's hoping. I understand cash converters on Cuba went out of business, can anyone think of other joints I should notify? Pawn shops or anything?

I did a double take earlier today! Thought I saw the one in the bottom picture. Looked a second time / harder, and noticed, not a singlespeed, and it was much yellower. But bugger me if it didn't get the heart rate up for a moment.
