Yup, I'm only six months or so older, it just feels like a version of "I'm older than all the All Blacks" for someone who prefers politics to rugby.

ONZO share bikes.

These yellow and black things have appeared all over Wellington in weird and ridiculous places. There's been little fanfare about them but people appear to be using them. I'm guessing someone drives round each night moving them around.

But what makes me lol is that each was delivered with a bright yellow helmet 2 or so weeks ago. The helmets have mostly disappeared (into to gardens) and people are riding around helmetless and fancy free. Just seems like a big waste of money, plastic and polystyrene......

Christchurch has been invaded by the LIME scooters.

The council have allowed users to use footpaths and cyclelanes and to be helmet-less. It's like the wild west down here.

I'm sure the fad will pass once the bill payers see their credit card statement at the end of the month.
