Finding A Frames Builder

Any one no how to track down who made a frame , 531 Reynolds tubing , suntour drop outs an the number under the bb is a13469 and possibly nz made?

Some decent photos of details like the lugs and fork crown could possibly help. The serial number might be a date of manufacture, i.e. 13th April 1969?

Hmm, they look like Prugnat lugs or copies...Something about it says Bosomworth to me, but possibly a Mitchell? Judging by the SunTour track ends it's an 80s frame, not a 60s one. Very nice build, anyway. Cool blue as well.

I don't know Prugnats but the Bocama Competition 83 looks feasible from the side, does the top match?

My Tardme archive has a couple of fuzzy pix of windowed lugs on one Bosomworth, none in the few Mitchells.

It distresses me that some folk destroy the maker's name from good frames and replace it with whatever irrelevant stickers they have to hand. I have an Italian frame of some sort hiding under a few mm of powdercoat and some Azonic stickers.

I'm with Oli on the Prugnat lugs, I used to have a Falcon San Remo with very similar if not identical lugs. Though my San remo was mid 70's from memory, and a road frame...

I've got in contact with mike an ive got to double check the serial number incase I read the 8 as a 6 an if so it's a Eddie bosomworth frame built on the 13 April 1988

problem was I had both.....and a Pertini (actually the same Mitchell in different paint done by Eddy Bosomworth)

I've still got a (sad) Mitchell hanging deep in the bowels of my workshop down in Perth. It's one of those "One day I'm gonna..." projects that is intended to prove that the DNA of my youth contains some similarity to my current alien moving cadaver. Of course it'll have to wait until I can find where I put my wood-soled Duegi's 30 (very) odd years ago.
