10 Things You Need To Know About Losing Weight

Did anyone see this show on Prime lastnight. I was stunned by some of the things that their medical research had uncovered about loosing weight. I don't think any of it will change my lifestyle but it makes you think.

I saw some of it, and found a few bits interesting. I also though a lot of it was just common sense...

Rik not sure you need to worry about loosing weight!?

Didnt stay round till the end but...

Dont skip meals - hungy = craving crap. Fill up on go0d stuff.
Proten keeps you fuller for longer
Use smaller plates.
All callories count even the ones you think are good or forget about
'its my metabolism' is a crock.
'Soup' keeps you fuller for longer, go blend and be skinny.

Lists :hmmm:
1. Lists of 10 are rarely the right size for the knowledge they attempt to impart.
2. They're reductive, and
3. They oversimplify, or
4. They're padded and
5. They contain filler.
6. They offer the illusion that the reader will be required to do minimal work to gain useful facts.
7. Lists of 10 leave me empty, as they imply that knowledge is best obtained through numbered lists and/or
8. Bullet points and/or
9. Powerpoint, which is a small death in itself.
10a. Dairy is OK for weight loss if it's low fat and an appropriate portion size.
10b. 'List of 10' writers belong in a particular circle of media hell inhabited by 'list of 6' writers, and creators of failed portmanteau words.
11. So what are the 10 weight loss things?
