Resetting Flashing Filter Light On Hrv

Postby Flynnster on Sun 17/Oct/10 3:02pm

I have just replaced the filters in my HRV system and despite an extensive search on the interwebby cannot find any description on how to reset the flashing 'your filter needs replacing light'. Help! can anyone enlighten me please?

Just call HRV and they should be able to talk you through it over the phone.

Hey did this ever get answered? Two years on and still no answers online! I'm wondering if HRV don't tell you and only reset it if you shell out the 300 for the filter replacement...

I really hope that Flynnmaster has spent the last two years staring angrily at a flashing light, periodically checking the internets to see if anyone has answered his question....

300 buckaroonies for a filter change? That is consistent with the intial purchase cost.

Just be grateful there isn't a filter alarm siren on the thing, that would increase the value of a genuine HRV-supplied filter fitted by a HRV - approved tradesman. :satan:

1. Turn off control panel using the POWER button
2. Hold down arrow pointing down for 8 seconds until a 02 comes up where the roof temperature should be (a 01 comes up first but keep holding until the 01 changes to a 02 - don't let go when you see 01). Below the 02 will be another number.
3. Increase the 02 to 22 using the up arrow button (not holding it down, short continuous pushes).
4. Below the 22 you will see a 0. Increase the 0 by pressing the power button until you go up to 5. (mine said 50)
5. Press the FUNC button to save your settings & take you back to the main screen.
6. You will now see that the filter light has switched off
