Bmx Purchase Suggestions

Postby Max2 on Mon 20/Sep/10 2:03pm

Kia ora all.

I raced BMX in the mid 80s and owned an HMX, Supermax2 and then a PK Ripper, and I now wanna buy another BMX for a bit of exercise and nostalgic fun.
Anyways, I'm not too informed on today's good models and makes, so I'm after suggestions for an appropriate BMX to buy.
It will be mainly used for dirt jumps, skatepark bowls etc, maybe some track, so has to be of strongish quality.
Also, are there any decent shops in Auck to check out?

Cheers :)
Max2.

I went and saw Kevin at Penny Farthings, nice fella.
They only have Redlines there so couldn't really get a comparison between other makes etc.
However the Redline Prolines look pretty sweet.
Tried a couple of other shops and it seems there aren't a lot of quality BMXs about???
The search continues.......
Any other suggestions are welcome.

thanks again, I ended up buying a GT off Tim @ T-whites.
If felt better to ride than the proline, plus I wasn't keen on the alloy frame
