Hey guys do not forget that we do have sprinters away this year. there is almost a full squad, if the nz coaches and the riders have discussed and decided on the combos that are to compete, thats the way it is.
THey alone have been riding in 35 to 39degs on the track with humidity, so i have a funny feeling they will have a better grip on the situ aye?
womens 500mtr tt results about 0500hrs nz time 12th
womens points 12th nz time
mens scratch 12th nz time

Junior Worlds Update

By Mike McRedmond in High Performance Supporters

Good Evening New Zealand,

The preparation is complete, and 'battle' is set to commence. The day has dawned brilliantly fine, and we are set for the first day of competition at the 2010 Junior World Championships.

In action in today's 1st session (starting 11pm NZ time) will be Brad Evans and Fraser Gough in the Individual Pursuit. Both boys have trained well, and staff are anticipating good rides from them both.

It will then be the turn of Andy Van der Haydon in the Qualifying heats for the Mens Scratch Race.

After a short break, it will be the turn of Stephanie McKenzie and Henrietta Mitchell in the 500m TT. We will also have Liz Steel in the Womens Points Race, and of course the Individual Pursuit and Scratch Race finals.

A very busy day ahead. Thanks for all the messages. The team appreciates all the support.

Updates will be forwarded as soon as possible, so watch this space!!!!!
