Just a wee heads up, the new zealand squad have been in camp in montichiari for just on 2 weeks now, track time twice a day, with road rides, they have got used to the 35 to 39 deg C temps,the coaches are happy and the team are in good shape the comp starts on 11th August thru to the 15th

Hey guys do not forget that we do have sprinters away this year. there is almost a full squad, if the nz coaches and the riders have discussed and decided on the combos that are to compete, thats the way it is. Hi all fresh info from facebook, Brad Evans and Fraser Gough mens pursuit quals starting 0200hrs kiwi time Liz steel will race the points race later in the evening Andy Van Der Heyden will race the scratch And Steph Mckenzie and Henrietta Mitchell will hit out in the 500m tt around 0500hrs kiwi time. The management are keeping us informed on face book as well.
The preparation is complete, and 'battle' is set to commence. The day has dawned brilliantly fine, and we are set for the first day of competition at the 2010 Junior World Championships.
In action in today's 1st session (starting 11pm NZ time) will be Brad Evans and Fraser Gough in the Individual Pursuit. Both boys have trained well, and staff are anticipating good rides from them both.
It will then be the turn of Andy Van der Haydon in the Qualifying heats for the Mens Scratch Race.
After a short break, it will be the turn of Stephanie McKenzie and Henrietta Mitchell in the 500m TT. We will also have Liz Steel in the Womens Points Race, and of course the Individual Pursuit and Scratch Race finals.
