I wouldn't buy a 16 GB one (personally) the screen is too small for videos and I don't have 8 GB of music. Even if I had over 8 GB of music I doubt I would listen to them all so its a was of money that could go on a bike :sly:

Sorry can't answer the cheapest place question, I got my touch from Austrailia for like $450 NZD new

Get the big one - empty space on ipod is tolerable, having to remove stuff when you want to put more on is frustrating...

Buying CDs is so last century. Buy your albums online as MP3s. You're just going to have to convert them anyway.

iTunes, this is the easiest as it compiments your iPod. Also you can get music online by redeeming your Flybuys, although it is not so straight forward to export it to your iTunes library.

But please note that sometimes iTunes charges more for a download than what you would pay at a CD store. If you buy CD's iTunes will rip and give the artists titles and everything automatically first time you go online to iTunes, at least thats what happened to my CD collection.

If you have Flybuys, find the cheapest quote then take it to Noel Lemmings who do price matches (and have Flybuys).

I did this recently for an iPod, the cheapest quote I could find was from PB Technologies - but have a look around on price comparison sites, someone else might have a better deal on the model you're after.

over time I've bought a whole lot of stuff from real groovy, and never had any issues

Depending upon what genre/s of music you're into, odds on you can buy new for not much more, also check some of the professional CD trader types on tard-me
