Anything particular you like about it?
Beyond the SpecialEd looks/Horst link, does it have something going for it?

Not dissing, just wondering what its point of difference is going to be in such a fast growing market segment.

Frame aesthetics, particularly the top tube, the wasted link mount and the two lines to the head tube. Ultra modern looking. Is it functionally better than other frames? I really don't care, with many frames being much of a much-ness these days. I like to see something that looks good.

Fair enough, it's no good having a bike you don't like to look at.

Their see-thru model shows one of the reasons for having an IFP with decent pressure. It compresses air bubbles and lets them be dissolved into the oil.

I'm not sure what problems they've solved. They've got more seals so more friction and wear/failure points now.

Manitou have changed almost their entire fork lineup.

R7, M30, Minute, Marvel and Magnum model names are gone. They're now organised by stanchion size.

30mm stanchions = Markhor
32mm stanchions = Machete & Circus
34mm stanchions = Mattoc & Mastodon
36mm stanchions = Dorado

As well as the reorganisation, there are several new forks. Including a new Mattoc (Pneumatic?)

27" Boost axle, 160-170mm travel, clears 2.6" tyres and has a bolt on rear facing mudguard.

does "the future" come in a 26" wheel variant?
and will it be al-you-minimum :eh:

You could put 26" wheels in it, probably need to make some new dropouts and use a 180mm fork though otherwise that bb is going to be pretty slammed.

And you'd need a boost hub ;)

Yeah, I like the idea but it just doesn't work with "normal" q-factor cranks (for me, with flat pedals and big Impact shoes).

I'd make you one, any geo you want, but I don't think you'd like the price, the wait, or the complete lack of confidence I'd have in the final product :p
