Hmm will probs go for some of those when my VXi's die, they have not quite lived up to the hype for me. Supremely grippy sole and great pedal feel but I think I will like the burlier style of that new impact samill edition. I never had the original impact lows, perfect for me would be a combo of vans gravel with stealth rubber sole, but the gravels seem to have disappeared so its not like I can even buy another pair and get them re-soled with stealth rubber.

Ah never knew you had the VXi.
Seems like I'm the only one who likes them :eh:

It looks like it should do something special, what does it do?

No issues with them?

I might try the Sam Hill ones. Thicker sole that's not as soft.

None at all :)
I've still got a relatively new pair of Impact Lows ready for the bike park too.

Looks to me like they're doing that asymmetrical thing for the benefit of being able to chuck a belt drive (Gates Carbon etc) in? Only reason i can see. Being carbon frame (or is it wood?), might not like having a split in the rear triangle...??

They claim it was to get the short chainstays they wanted - as short as 15.75 inches!

But it does also look like a belt will work. I'm intrigued.

They soles are choding out pretty quick and it's not like they were cheap. Deffo a lot quicker than the Vans but like I said, I have not had old 510's to judge them against.

Apparently it's a thing.

Mid-stays are apparently a thing now (new standard?!?)
