Bike Freight Akl - Chch / Bike Shops?

Hi, looking at a bike in Auckland - what are the best freight options around these days - used to be that bike shops would help out in this instance?
Have mates in AKL that can help but not cyclists per se so wouldnt know on that front

Any bike shop should be able to deal with that. I know velo in town can. At a guess cost would be $40 to $60 ish.

Bicycle Business down in CHCH is VERY good, don't know if you've got any up there though? I use them for frames and bikes. Costs roughly 50$ for a while bike and 20-40$ for a frame, from my experience anyway.

well I won it, will ring Velo in the morning and see if they would have time for a quick service before boxing it up

nah, bought 2 bikes today - a cool beach cruiser style bike from a 2nd hand shop to do up for 'cruising' ahem and a Norco freeride from TM - kona is going well, but I figure I need about 4 bikes to be really happy (and 6 cars is always a nice number) - a DH bike is next in the crosshairs

Cheers Trog, will let you know if the dude is uncooperative with dropping it off at Velo!

Well that was painless!

TM seller dropped it off to Velo , they serviced it - repaired the broken cable + 2 spokes then boxed it up incl ultra OTT sponge bits and everything which was awesome and it was posted off asap

Arrived today, quick reassemble / setup and off for a hoon on it tomorrow nite I hope - has a distinct DH feel to it despite its 'all mountain' tag ha ha

Thanks for the recommendation of Velo - will use them again for sure (all the bikes on my watchlist are in Waitakere wtf?)
