Ive got a old telecom phone I would like to use on prepay. Its not XT. Can I do this and if so how long will it go before they kill off the old network?

No its an 0274 phone.

I'm not sure of exact dates, but the CDMA (old T3G) network will be running at least till the end of 2011 - it'll be still switched on during the rugby world cup

dunno if you can go onto the cdma network anymore, they won't let me resign my cdma contract
