Cyclic Saga 09 (november Version )

There's a quite superb south island mountain bike / orienteering / rogaine / back country riding event that it seems too few people know about ..... The Cyclic Saga. For years a longstanding Canterbury tradition, this most recent event (Nov 28&29) branched out into the hills of Marlborough - Awatere Valley to be precise. Attached are a few pics of the terrain, the weather ("a weekend of 2 halves"), the riding and the bike pushing .....

If you can do 2 biggish days riding back to back (but can't cope physically or financially with something like the Alpine Epic) & you quite enjoy navigating your way about in biggish country rather than following a defined route every inch of the way = the Saga is for you.

Look out for it coming to an area somewhere in the South Island November 2010
