Take me back to the old school. I recently downloaded a C64 emulator and have been playing The Goonies. All good!

Download an Amiga emulator - eg: WinFellow or WinUAE and then track down a copy of the ADF file(s) and a Kickstart ROM (ver 1.3 will work for this) and you're away laughing. I'm not sure of the legality of Rick Dangerous' copyright, but you will be able to find that out in a pretty short space of time. The Kickstart ROMs are still covered by copyright (from memory) - i.e. you need to own a copy of the original(s).

I always enjoy turning a shiny new gazillion dollar PC into an old 1980's or 1990's computer via emulation software.

I remember Rick Dangerous as better. :(

I guess thats not surprising really.

I player S.T.A.L.K.E.R the other day, I thought that was a cool idea for a game, and had been hanging out for it for ages, but man, buggy! I got sick of it after the umpteenth crash :(

Upgrade your PC. I've been playing it and it has never crashed. Mind you I've had GTA SA crash twice in the past two days.

All those retro games aren't as good as you remember them, probably because I'm not 12 anymore.

Yeeeah. Playing it on a mates PC (as mine is teh crapzzor), I don't think I'm gonna be upgrading any time soon. Maybe I'll give it another chance next time I buy a new computer.

Still is a cool idea for a game though.

My favourtive is playing games from when you was younger, thinking I'm way older now I should kick arse at it now. And only getting half the distance you once did

Hang on I don't like that at all

Some people seem to get a "raw deal" regarding crashes with STALKER, other's don't.
I ran it briefly to begin with when I first purchased it and I think I had a crash or 2 back to the desktop with the base game without any patches, but the very first patch (1.00001 or whatever its version number was) fixed all of that. Patch 1.0003 is even better and 1.0004 is due out very soon.

STALKER was definitely rushed towards completion at the end but it's got a LOT of promise and a prequel's being developed for release for next year. I think that game will be a fair bit more polished.
