Bugger that. I rooted my shoulder playing beach cricket on the Wii*. Several hundred $$$ of physio and a full season @ second slip later, has put me off this fandangled motion controller thingamajigs.

Playing Dragon Age Origins. It's really well written and has got pretty good production values. Obviously it owes a lot to Mass Effect, but the dialogue and exploration isn't nearly as ponderous as that game. And it rips off Tolkien and especially Jackson's movies at every turn. Seems to have a lot of depth though.

Thought I'd try out Final Fantasy 13 for a bit of nostalgia ( yes I really dug ff7-9)

A visual feast anyways so far.

Just played some 1943. Finally made it to Master Sarg Bronze. Erm, I'm a little behind everyone else eh?

I done the best kill ever before. Close range, nearly dead, scout vs 2x infantry guys. Headshots with the pistol. Lulz pwnt.

I played a lot of that over summer when I was on holiday. It's an awesome game in its simplicity, especially when you get some good players around you.

Played more of Dragon Age today, the writing is really good, and the narrative is actually clear and emotionally engaging for a change. Some of the menus are a bit complicated, but you get on top of it after a while. I'll be including some discussion of the game in a new paper I'm writing.

almost finished dragon age, just in time for the expansion...

So what do people think of Halo 3? I'm interested to see if there'll be a number 4, of course it won't be "Halo" but something with master chief. Apparently there'll be a new one coming out with the Xbox 720 in 2012, so... let the waiting begin.
