Not strictly speaking a DH track - but this track has become a bit of an institution for Nelson speed freaks over the years.
It's a good day to put yourself against last years time and go for it.

yeah i was riding myself so it was kind of difficult to record. Dedicated one practice run to shooting bits of course on way down - with the paitient 'one rider' volunteer. cheers

This is nothing to do with the video but ya know how fringed hill nats track is closed now because 3/4 of it was just over the private land boundary! Why dont they make a new 3/4 on the public side of the boundary cause the terain would be just as good as where the track goes now and you could make a real similar track. Fringed hill was way better than kaka nats!!!

a line off fringed hill & down a spur finishing near the old tantragee 4x track looks possible to me. only thing is the trees are slated for logging sometime soon.

well it is a 4wd track bol... but its just about going as fast as u can! but i doubt a road would be so bumpy as to be literally rattling bikes apart like that track does

good luck building a new track up fringe, its getting logged soon as, and han16 your the only road race around here! that was one of new zealands 1st raced downhill tracks!
