Go and session brake free and sesame st, berms and smaller jumps to warm up on, it always does me well before I go and hit up the bigger pine trees tracks

Yeah I do well on brakefree (although I use quite a bit of braking) I like Sesame street, and can do all of it except for the gap over the old road 3/4 of the way down, and the bigger double after the two drops.

I would suggest you session something like brakefree until you can ride it without using brakes?? If you use the berms correctly you should not need to brake.

B line is good to start progressing with jumps, just hit each one and progress when you are ready. Brake free is the best place to start and then for berm practice tracks like Gums trees and Dazzas are good. Also go along to the Gravity Days and join up to Huxster club for riding.

Jumps aren't an issue - I've hit hte biggest B-line, texco, and I'm thinking about the 40. So to conclude, I do massive jumps, am ok at rocks, suck at berms and the steeps.

Go to a decent pump track and attack a set of berms, find a technique/style that works for you and try use it on the trail? I dunno, it might work...

Theres one in St Albans somewhere. I've been past it twice, it's built by a play ground, pretty average but it'd work. I keep forgetting to check which street its on.

I am certain you didn't just rock up one day and start hitting big jumps. However you approached jumps is how you should approach berms - work on balance and slowly increase your speed until you can rail them, it's not rocket science.

BTW, I suck at them too
