I'm afraid I had to reject Rhodes74 final selections because they came in after the race finished.
Still plenty of racing to go. The next "stage" of this fantasy race is the Tour of Flanders in 2 weeks time

Quote of the day:

"It was hard to even communicate; I was freezing. The back of my neck hurt from riding in the cold. You could look around, nobody was talking or communicating with each other, it was so cold."

Do you get the impression it was cold!?

And let that be a lesson to everyone. If you go for the risk strategy of a few man superteam. It can go SPECTACULARLY wrong :(

Quote from Chris Juul-Jensen would confirm that impression

Chris wrote:I couldn’t complain about the freezing pain in my fingers because almost all of the others riders were in the same situation ... I was desperate to regain some sort of feeling in my digits. I was also bursting for a pee. I therefore decided to combine the two. Call it multi-tasking. The relief when the hot urine showered my fingertips cannot be compared to anything I have ever experienced before. If you are thinking “Ugh! That’s disgusting”, then riding Milan-Sanremo isn’t for you

Im not sure what bear grills would say of the short term gains vs long term risk of exposure of that kind of practice. But then again what does he know he drinks the stuff

I think Bear would be appalled at the waste of good urine. He would have used it to warm his fingers, but collected urine to quench his thirst. LOL

Ok! enough talk of bodily functions. I have updated the rider selections with the provisional startlist for the tour of flanders, the next stage in our Monuments challenge. Almost everyone's team needs to be updated. You have over a week to make your selections but please note, in the case where 2 players have scored the same number of points, rankings are determined by the date of final selections. Making last minute changes can have a detrimental effect on your final standings.

None of the teams have confirmed their lineups yet so, do keep an eye on this thread after you have made your selections, in case there are any late changes
