Hannah was 2 seconds faster in quali - and ran last on the day (I'm 99% certain this is based on quali not overall ranking)

And now for the REAL qualifying results. Please ignore the previous qualifying results. I did indeed grab the finals, oops.

Conners wins the 2019 VFR downhill MTB world cup !

He did not take any risks on the final run, instead opting to make sure to get to the bottom of the hill safely. This allowed Wobbler to close to within 10 points but he will have to settle for Silver this time. Astoria Paranoia adds another bronze medal to his collection.
Thank you all for playing and I hope to see you for the 2020 comp.

So just to make it clear, Wobbler's team change after qualifying was within the rules?
I did this earlier and had to change it back.
Knowing my luck it will make my results worse :D

I chose the following riders for my team
Amaury Pierron worth 1270 points
Troy Brosnan worth 1111 points
Loic Bruni worth 988 points
Finn Iles worth 551 points
Aaron Gwin worth 500 points
Tracey Hannah worth 1500 points

Total team strength = 5920

Reverting Wobbler's team to see if it makes a difference

So after reverting Wobblers team it appears Astoria Paranoia claimed the silver medal. I wish I could automatically lock the selections when qualifying starts but I just can't be bothered to figure out how. Sorry for the confusion, better luck next year

Whoa - scandal!!!

Super awesome season all round. I think the fact that both Gwin and Minnaar were both available for a lowly 500 points each actually drove a massively different competition to previous years. It meant that most people were managing to keep a very competitive roster, at times it was more about who you didn’t have rather than who you did. Previous years it felt like you could only afford one or two riders with a shot of a podium - this year that felt like three or four. Looks like sticking with Tracey Hannah and never picking Hart or Brosnan paid off for me. Which is interesting given how strong of a season Troy had.

Will be really interesting to see how the UCI points stack up to rider budgets for next season. Bring it on!

You'd been sticking with Troy for a couple of years, and then won as soon as you dropped him. Loyalty gets you nowhere :)

Pretty sure I was on the Aussie main train since the Hannah's both stood on the podium in Cairns in 2017.
There was a lot of Hannah/Hannah/Brosnan/Fearon going on in my lineup for a long time from memory.

Maybe next year needs to be Hannah/Hannah/Brosnan/Lucas/Moir/Fearon oi oi oi...

On the other hand, I changed nothing since the initial pick at the start of this season. Fun to see that what would almost be a dream team taking last year's results as gospel was worse than the random choice of the vfrmonkey. Injuries plagued the season.

Fuck yeah Cabirou and fuck yeah Bruni. Apart from the injuries this was the best season of racing i've ever seen.
