Looking forward to this (and hopefully the rest of the season too). I'll be heading over from Tauranga.

BTW Anyone in TGA keen on some cross rides in preparation should hit me up. (riding the urban trails - weekends/evenings sorta thing).

Wait! What?!! You're training?! Oh man... maybe I'd better do some barrier practice, too. :paranoid:

^Training? That'd be a stretch. ...Nah, got a 2 month old at home so just clocking some kms as to not embarrass myself (quite as much). And yeah, I'm sure my mounts/dismounts could to with some work too.

Haven't raced cross since leaving Melbs early last year so I'm pretty excited about it.

Anyways, here's some inspiration:

Here's a map showing the location of the race on Sunday. Parking is beside Model Engineers Railway off Tui Ave, drive all the way down the drive and turn into the park. There are public toilets nearby. Velo Epsresso/Fog City CX HQ will be a short walk (or ride) from the carpark area. Registration open from 10am, race starts 11:30am.

Bring your noise makers big, small, young, old. There's great spectating in the park with a lot of the course visible from the higher vantage points. The model engineers will be giving rides on the trains for a small cost if the weather is ok.

Hope to see you there!

*Edit: sorry for the poor quality image. If you google "Tui Ave, Hamilton" you'll be fine.

***NEWSFLASH***

We will have free showers available at Velo Espresso after the race so you can wash the mud off before heading over to Good George to settle in for some finger food and a pint of locally brewed beer (or cider, or whatever else you may prefer).

Please let us know at registration if you would like to use the showers afterwards, so we can be sure everyone knows where to go.

See you all on Sunday!

Wooo! What a day!!

Results are up on webscorer at http://www.webscorer.com/race?pid=1&raceid=25215

Photos are on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 104&type=1

Thanks for coming, everyone - especially those who travelled from out of town. We had excellent weather and a fantastic course which was well set up for spectators and competitors alike. Thanks also to the crew, volunteers and supporters - particularly the Healey Timing Team, all the guys on course setup, the photographers and everyone who stayed around to help pack down at the end. Thanks also to the Wings Team from Red Bull NZ who came out to give us some wings - we all needed it!

Thanks to our sponsors Good George for the hot finger food and great prize giving locaton, Velo Espresso, Fog City Cyclocross and Insight Engine for the countless hours and dollars that go into running the series (it's better if we don't count, right?), Solo race-bred cyclewear, NZ Road Cyclist magazine, NZMTBR magazine, La Roma Coffee.

Stay tuned for details on the next round, Sunday 17th August.
