Thanks for the answers, I totally agree with you regarding peoples reactions to hp figures, your analogy is perfect so I understand what you're saying. My question was more curiosity as to the general ballpark....my experience is in Ford 1500cc Pre-65 stuff, both ohv and twincam, and almost everyone in that class uses Bob Homewood and his Dynapack gear for dyno work. I have seen these engines making close to 150hp with the pre65 restrictions, which is fairly impressive in my opinion, I just lazily wondered how much more the BDG is good for. Did you choose to dry-sump it? ALso will you be running classics? Is the MANZ dispensation for all vehicles on C.O.D. or do you still need to apply for the dispensation? (The whole avgas thing is threatening a big split in pre65 at present, I would hate to see the class fall to bits over it)

Yes dry sump,in my opinion dry sump is cheap compared to damage due to starvation, as to HP my friend owns a genuine MK2 Zakspeed GRP5 car in Chch, his engine is also Lucas injected, built by Richardson engines in UK and makes an honest 300hp at fly wheel(Richardson engines cast and build new DFV engines), as for the AVgas thing it keeps changing the last I heard was every car was going to judged separately. As to class I would like to run in classics,I can fit treaded tires bult I am struggling to find suiltable aspect ratio.

That would have been me, but I wanted the wagon and its way out of my price range. Hot looking car.

I'm guessing it was this one:

Don't know I'm sure the engine was sitting part way into the cabin. With the drive sitting alot further rearward.

Hard to say if its the same car. Also thought the millen Car was Orange.

That is 100% definitely the same car. It was never orange when Millen campaigned it, it was silver, but carried a huge graphic down the side advertising 'The Worlds Fastest Indian', which had a lot of Red in it and some orange. (Was a neat little bit of history repeating with Millen campaigning a car advertising a movie made by Roger Donaldson, the first time he did it was with 'Smash Palace')

Sorry to sound all Cooper770 about it, I just happen to know a bit on that particular car.

Ah Cheers Dents. I thought the engine sat further into the cabin to (It may not have had the Dash installed first time around). But not like on TV I got that great a look at it.
Be awesome fun to drive

Live axle or IRS rear end. Guessing its new floor pan for much of the car.

When the car first appeared it didnt have the full dashboard in, just a Motec (I think?) unit behind the steering wheel, so all the fabricated firewall and engine cover was exposed showing how far it was set back.

Sorry cant answer on the rear end set-up or floorpan

Good to see that the local wideboy's Black Gallardo has come through the earthquake(s) unscathed. He's still treating William Pickering as his personal slalom course (not that I really mind because it sounds quite awesome).
