Is the motor a Twincam?

Looks like it, I can just make out 2 x OHC cam pulleys in the pic. May be turbo charged too by the way the air filter is mounted

Well the lotus twincam would have them on the other side. I would have thought that if you are going to the trouble of going to so much care to make it look like a Zacspeed the motor would match. But I think I can see carbs on the LH side. I see what you mean about the filter though.

Unless of course its a real Zacspeed....

Beautiful car, and thanks for the clarification. Welcome to vorb, it used to be a website about bikes, FFS!

Is the mechanical injection the type that was used on Formula Altlantic/Pacific cars?

Pacific/Atlantic cars in NZ were not allowed to use Injection ,Millen used it in Macau only, this is the same type as F2 so it is timed and metered ,it has a drive belt from the exhaust cam pulley that drives the metering unit,Many circuit cars used this type, and some rally cars.

Wow, again - thanks. What sort of hp is it making? Do you drive it in competition? Or have plans to? Would love to hear that thing driven in anger at high revs.....

Love the Zakspeed

My 66 Merc had mechanical fuel injection. Just saying.

I have only just finished this car, one quick dyno run ,we will start testing soon,People think I have got a bit carried away with it and is too nice to race, anything can be fixed!I Have another BDG RS1600 escort I used to race so this was a development of that.

Nope, not at all! I wasn't driving, but we didn't get caught, as we didn't go over the speed limit. :paranoid:

Couple of things, I am not secret squirrel, but as to dyno figures,I just don't get hung up on them, they are a tuning tool,if it makes more power than when you start after tuning it is all good. When an engine has low figures people go on about how it should have made more power,if it makes lots of power ,people go on about how the car should go better with all that horsepower. It seems also that not everyones dyno is the same, I have seen one person take a V8 engined car to one place then another and gain 50 hp by changing dynos. As to photos I will see what I can do, I am a little technically inept. As to Avgas because of the mechanical metering, this needs lead for lubrication(along with oil in the fuel)you can apply to MSNZ for a dispensation.
