And always add an extra 5 psi to compensate for that wee psssssssst that comes out when you disconnect from the valve.

currently - but subject to change frequently...

5-Spot

front 729 (that's 29mm internal): Nobby Nic 2.4 ~20 psi
rear Blunt 35m (35mm external): Hans Dampf 2.35 ~ 20 psi

first pinch flat in years, on the Nun on Tuesday night

Soon to move the Nobby to the rear and a Magic Mary on the front.

townie (Surly Troll)
front (28mm internal) and rear (ghastly 18mm or so),
Schwalbe Fat Frank, 2.35 ~ 20-30 psi

Charge Cooker Maxi 2
(came with)
80mm external rim
Vee Rubber H-Billie 4.25 inch front and rear.
off road, ~3-5 psi or lower
on gravel, 8-10 psi
on seal (lob forgive!) >10psi

26 Fulcrum Red Metal 3 19mm
Ardent LUST @ 35psi all round
75 kegs

Any more air I find it too harsh any less I dent rims (which I'm afraid of with the fulcrums as I can't afford to replace the whole wheel for a dented rim). Never bothered about getting more technical than that. My friendly local mechanic believes in more air so sometimes I get the bike back at 40+ and have one ride on that before letting some out.

I don't check the air frequently maybe every month and never burp but guess there could be a little air loss with the tubeless.

Is that a HR2 26x2.30 Mr Schmoo? can you measure the casing diameter for me please, I am contemplating ordering some. Maxxis sizing is all over the shop. Would like bigger than original HR 2.35 and been caught out before with an undersized 2.35 Minion DHF

HR2 comes in a bigger-than-old-2.35 26x2.4 single ply. Good size.

Made this change late last year.
Waaaay more grip especially the side knobs.
Can hold high off camber lines much better.
Took me a while to get used to catching small ledges that the old HR would simply ignore though.

Maxxis seem to also make rubber tape measures

From the maxxis site
HR2 26X2.30 ETRTO 58-559
HRold 26X2.35 ETRTO 52-559
DHF 26X2.35 ETRTO 52-559

I struggle with 2.30 being bigger than 2.35. Is -0.05 maxxis units = +6mm?

My minnion DHF is def smaller than my old HR. The minion DHF size chart is awesome with the new 2.30 larger than the old 2.5??

I understand its been messed up for years and the newer tyre casings are supposed to be more in line with other manufactures- Just want to check with anyone who actually has inflated one before I spend money

My hr2s are actually 2.3. I thought they were 2.4 because they are so much bigger than old maxxis tires.

Left is 2.35 minion dhf, right is 2.3 hr2. They're taller too. The difference is clear. Spend the moneys.

Well since it's a leaderboard and I've actually got a chance of winning this one, I'll chime in.

Fiddy psi front and rear.
2.35 tyres, can't be arsed going to the garage and looking at the rims.
130kegs and ride like a mong.
Honestly can't believe how low pressure you guys run. Anything under 40 and I pinch flat. Anything under 35 feels really squirrely.

Feel under a bit of pressure keeping up with all the new entries
Glad to have some more 'softies' at my end of the table. BikeKiller is the new leader at the other end
How about some female entries for the petite end of the scale - scatter?

How about I weigh in :eh:

200kg rider, smooth style with gnar streaming tendancies. Two bikes, one running tubed 2.5 exo tyres at 40/40 on 24.5mm rims

The other running 2.25/2.4 exo tyres run tubeless, 35/30 on 23mm rims

Never burped the tubeless, no pinch flats or roll on either since perhaps...like... 2013
