Tuesday's Jfk Work Party Will Start From The Top End

Postby Robbie on Mon 22/Nov/10 12:55pm

Hello folks,

The Tuesday evening JFK work party will start from the top end, see you there from 5pm until nearly dark :)

The top 75m is built: wide and flowy with nice rock solid, packed down edges. This just needs to be extended by about 300m and the top half is done !!

All the lovely rocks in this area that are not needed as we go can be piled up for use lower down, where the surface is basically clay.

cheers,

Rob

The JFK work is progressing well :)

Rumour has it that Tuesday morning may feature some showers, and the evening will be fine. If so, the softer dirt will make the digging easier, which is a bonus.

Guess where

Very true. and this evening the track blasts along the side of the steep hill towards a big switchback.

Scheming for this corner is along the lines of a Smokin' style switchback set well away from the trees and king ferns, boasting a much larger radius

This time last year we were cutting the trail right above JFK: the lower end of North Face ;)
