What a cool old tricycle and it's great that you're giving it a new lease of life.

I love tricycles

Great, the disk brake is pretty cool though I like the purity of Sianelle's fixie tricycle.

Unfortunately, the trike restoration came to a grinding halt after the September earthquake (combo of me being on crutches and the garage being too unsafe for me to work in).
The tricycle is currently parked up in a container waiting for summer, when I'll get it out and get to work on it again.

If we had any room at all in our garage I'd say bring it here so you could come tweeding. BTW next weekend, Craft Market ride.....

I apologize for dredging up this ancient thread but I stumbled across it and now I NEED closure.
What happened to the trike? Is Maude still in the container? Will she ride again?

I still have Maude. She's currently stored in a container off-site so I don't get to ride her as much as I like.
She rolls but there's still plenty of restoration to be done.

She did get ridden at Xmas time :D

I lent her to a friend a couple of years ago when he had shoulder surgery.

Yup, that's a Freeload rack

Also, that seat? So frikkin' comfortable.

Rode Maude down to the pub after completing the Longest Day a few years ago. Bliss.

Thank you. I am pleased to see she made it back on the road and did not end up as a box of parts indefinitely awaiting reassembly. (like so many of the projects I start)

It certainly does look like the perfect Pub transportation. Comfy saddle and the stability of 3 wheels!

it's shit for riding boozed. only being one wheel drive, if you lean incorrectly, wheel looses contact, you end up on the ground wondering what happened to your pants, and where all your skin went.

As in:

What messed up the pants I'm wearing?

OR

Where are my pants and why am I not wearing any?

'cos you know.... if it's the latter... well, it's not the tricycle's fault.
