JohnDH wrote:I've had the chance/privilege to read page proofs of the book, written by Jonathan Kennett. It's a great read -- beyond the world of road cycling -- as a story of new-migrant drive, sporting success in NZ and beyond, corruption and Euro amphetamine temptation in the age of giants such as Merckx ... Tabak's drive to win is incredible, and his story is moving. The book is head and shoulders above most other sports bios. There must be some room in your Xmas stocking for Tino Tabak: Dreams and Demons of a New Zealand Cycling Legend.
(Disclaimer: I have no financial interest in this book selling thousands)

You lucky bugger! From what I know of the Kennett Bros' writing, and this particular subject, this book should be HUGE!
It would be really nice to see it get some international exposure too...

I put the title because that was the line that National Radio used.
The interview is at 8;30AM.
