Its was certainly an interesting interview this morning and good to get a snapshot of how like really was for a pro rider in Europe in the 70s. It was a time when bike racing was still a job for mainly blue collar boys.

Tino coached 1993 World Road Champion Monica Valvick and had a rather excellent form of motopacing. He sat behind her in the car and if she slowed from goal pace he beeped on the horn
Unfortunately I had to rush off so I couldnt meet him in person. Jonathan Kennett has done a fabulous job with the book (I'm a fast reader
) and its well worth the read.
