I totally agree - if you look carefully at the results, you'll notice that every podium finisher, every top ten rider had a bike. And all the people without bikes failed to finish. So it's definitely all about the bike.

I rode with him and it was a pretty cool course design thru the final paddock with a big bog and crossings. Michael said their was an issue with the paddock due to rain which put part of it up the road, but I think that was better for the little ones.
