Wellington's WORD holiday program. Sent my 7 and 9 year old on it.

The ride home was pretty much 'Do you know Peak Flow, we rode Peak Flow, what did you think of this corner?' over and over

Mountain Biking Otago!
Glad to finally become a member, our membership fees are definitely a good investment.
Had fun racing the Haggis Hunter yesterday, and the work the club has done around Logan Park and Signal Hill is very impressive.
Big ups!

this morning (whilst riding to work) a cop turned around in front of me and pulled over the person who just passed me.

when i got to them he asked me to stop and asked me "if the person who passed me was too close". i said i didn't notice I should have said I have had worse. then I thanked him and road off.

but it is nice to have a cop looking out for a cyclist :)

Those bikes are taking up the room that a dozen tourists could sleep in! :D

This is excluding commuting. Spending more time on the bike, getting more fit, having more fun, starting to feel good even after big days. Getting stronger and faster. Got a climbing KOM today.

Even getting out on the road bike. Ticked off a ride I've been meaning to attempt for a little while last week - Climbed Evans/Pleasant, Gebbies/Bastard, Dyers pass and then Mt Pleasant in one ride.

Six 'activities' a week is certainly worth a w00t, jealous.

I'm w00ting about building wheels, I'm super slow, and will be taking them to my mobile mechanic for final tensioning, but the process is really satisfying.
Something about taking a pile of spokes, nipples, a hub and a rim and ending up with a wheel... Maybe it's just novelty, I've built up heaps of bikes from frames, but these are only my 5th or 6th tries from lacing on up.

Doing a service on my PD-M424s at the weekend. Slowly unwinding the top race so as to not loose any ballbearing, when I saw one BB stuck to the top race, before I could do anything about it, gravity overcame the force of grease stickiness and I watched it slowly accelerate all the way to the concrete floor. from there it just disappeared without a sound into thin air as if David Copperfield was standing behind me.

The next 20 minutes had me rummaging around under the bench, pondering if I could get away with running 11BBs.

Found it in the middle of washer hidden long forgotten under the bench - Woot! Hole in one!
